Scope of the conference
This workshop will be the 11th of a series of international meetings devoted to magnetic
measurement and testing. Its aim is to bring together engineers and scientists from university, research institutes and industry who are active in research, development and industrial applications of magnetism.
As in previous 1&2DM workshops, the program will comprise of invited key note lecture by a prominent expert, as well as oral and presentations for regular contributions.
The Workshop will include many aspects of basic and applied technologies related to testing magnetic materials and measurement of their magnetic properties. Topics will be related to current problems and trends in conventional (one-dimensional) and two-dimensional measurement and testing methods for magnetic materials (including electrical steels, rapidly quenched materials, and powder composites).
The main scope includes aspects of the following related to one- or two-dimensional measurement or testing:
- Basic problems, magnetisation processes, domain structures, Barkhausen noise
- Modelling of magnetic properties of materials, relevance of microstructures
- Aspects of industrial testing and standardisation
- Power loss, polarisation, magnetostriction and anisotropy measurement
- Magnetisation systems and sensors for 1 and 2D measurements
- High frequency related aspects
- B and H vector relationships and their interpretation
- Relevance to applications (e.g., electrical machines, transformers, etc).
